Job summary

Horizon School in Lowestoft, a Pupil Referral Unit, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The role supports the teacher and students across whole class, small groups, or one-to-one.

We value excellent communication, listening, and a caring approach. You will help deliver the curriculum, prepare materials, and contribute to safeguarding and welfare of pupils.

Horizon School is a Pupil Referral Unit that supports schools and pupils in the Northern Area of Suffolk.

At Horizon School, we support young people who have been unable to succeed in mainstream education. Here they are given a second chance with support and challenge to help them achieve their potential. We are now seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Horizon School.

The main purpose of the role is to provide support to the teacher and through this to students and to the teaching of the curriculum. To work under the direction of the teacher, whether in the whole class, a small group, or with an individual pupil.
