Horizon Community College in Barnsley is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support Team. You will help students access learning, overcoming barriers in and out of class, and support their confidence and independence across key subjects.

You will work with colleagues to enhance outcomes, focusing on English, Maths, Science, Geography and History, and you will engage with pupils, carers and staff to promote attainment and inclusion.

In this position, you will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to access learning, overcome barriers and develop confidence and independence. Your work will span a range of curriculum areas, with a particular focus on English, Maths, Science, Geography and History.

You will join an experienced and supportive SEND leadership team that values collaboration and is committed to developing staff expertise. Whether you are seeking a new challenge or looking to build on your experience of working with young people, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference to students’ education and future opportunities.

The successful applicant will have:
