Job summary

Capel St Mary CE VC Primary School in Ipswich is seeking a motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with pupils with special educational needs. The role requires a caring, flexible approach and a willingness to work in class, one-to-one and small-group settings.

You will support and encourage pupils with diverse needs, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. The position is part-time, term-time only, with a fixed term until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• A caring nature and ability to work with children is essential.
• Experience of working with pupils with special educational and behavioural needs would be beneficial.
• GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications required.

Capel St Mary CE VC Primary School are seeking a motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with our committed, forward-thinking team, to support the learning of pupils with special educational needs. The role will require creativity, flexibility and a good understanding of how to meet pupils’ needs.

The role will involve a mixture of in-class, one to one and small group work with pupils with a range of different needs. The role may include an additional 30 minutes supervision at lunch time.
