Job summary

Barnhill Community High School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work 30 hours per week, term-time plus 5 inset days, Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm. The role supports pupils, including those with special needs, under teaching staff guidance to enable access to learning.

Scale 3 NJC5 - NJC6 £20,621 to £20,916 per annum

Contract Type

Part -time, permanent

Working Weeks

Term time only plus 5 Inset days (38 weeks per year)

Hours

30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm.

Staff Wellbeing

We have a very well thought of staff wellbeing that focusses on allowing staff to concentrate on their work without unnecessary impediment. In addition to this there is a range of supportive measures such marking from home, wellbeing events and staff celebrations.

The Role

The LSA will work under the direct instruction / guidance of teaching staff and SENDCo and deputy SENDCo to undertake work / care / support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

Key Responsibilities
