Job summary

Academics Ltd in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help pupils overcome barriers to learning in an alternative provision setting. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help pupils engage with lessons, and promote positive behaviour in a safe, inclusive environment.

The role is full-time, ASAP start, 8:30am–3:30pm, with salary £90-£105 per day. You will work closely with teachers to tailor academic, social and emotional support and help learners build

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting young people and their education.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to adapt to different learning and behavioural needs.
• Experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.

Academics is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming alternative provision in Gloucester. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may benefit from a more personalised approach to education, helping them build confidence, develop positive relationships and re-engage with learning.

You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored academic, social and emotional support, helping pupils feel supported and encouraged to reach their potential.
