Job summary

Woodfield Primary School in Doncaster is inviting applications for a Learning Support Assistant. The role involves working across the school to support pupils, promote safety and assist class teachers in delivering inclusive education.

The successful candidate should have GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or above, a proactive approach, and a commitment to safeguarding and pupil well-being. Visits to the school are encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be employed to work across the school and can be placed in any class/phase as directed.
  • Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged and can be arranged with the Head Teacher.
  • Support learning across the school and contribute to a safe and positive environment for pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who will bring a sense of energy and passion to the role

  • Have a good level of general education - English and Maths at GCSE C (4) or above is essential

  • Use their initiative to work independently and flexibly.

  • Have experience of working with children.

  • Enjoy working with children and forms good relationships with both children and adults.

  • Understand the importance of meeting the social and emotional needs of children.

  • Have experience and/or knowledge of adaptive practice in meeting the needs of pupils with SEND.
