Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting for a learning support assistant at a SEMH school in Littlehampton. The role is temporary with a view to a permanent position after a 12-week probation. Salary is £89-£100 per day, with term-time only hours.

Working hours are Monday-Thursday 08:30-15:30 and Friday 08:30-15:00. Applicants should have an Enhanced DBS, at least 6 months of relevant experience, GCSEs in English and Maths (4/C), and a full driving licence due to the campus location.

Qualifications

• Must have Enhanced DBS or be willing to undergo one on the update service.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in mental health, crisis support, or youth justice.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support in a SEMH school environment.
• Assist with personal care as needed.
• Support pupils in line with safeguarding and welfare policies.

We are looking for learning support assistants to join the supportive and fulfilling community at our SEMH school based in Littlehampton. Roles available to start in September and term time working only to allow for freedom during the school holidays.

Salary: £89-100 per day

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday (08:30-15:30) and Friday (08:30-15:00).

Essentials:

• Have or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in mental health, crisis support, or youth justice.

• A driving licence and access to a car (due to the campus' remote location).
• Trauma-informed approach to learning and support.
