Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced school in Billericay. The role covers both primary and secondary classes with 1:1 and small group support to help pupils reach EHCP targets.

You will support communication, emotional regulation and personal development in a structured, supportive environment. This long-term, full-time position starts ASAP and offers ongoing consultant support and potential permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable across primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Help maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Billericay that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.
