Job summary

OneSchool Global UK is offering a full-time Learning Support Assistant role at our Biggleswade Campus, term-time only with 37.5 hours weekly, and a permanent contract. You will support students with SEND in classrooms, assist teachers with planning and deliver targeted activities across year groups, and help pupils develop confidence and learning skills in a supportive environment.

You'll work closely with teachers to monitor progress, provide feedback and maintain high standards of pupil care

Qualifications

  • Recent experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the National Curriculum and additional support needs.
  • Experience of working with children/young people of relevant age in a learning environment or relevant work experience with transferable skills.
  • Have good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levels.
  • Ensure high standards are maintained, progressed and promoted in all areas of work.

  • Provide learning support for pupils and teachers within a Self-Directed Learning philosophy.
  • Work with pupils to motivate and encourage them to achieve and develop through the development of their attributes, skills and knowledge.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently and be concerned for their development as learners, supporting them and responding to their individual needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies.
  • Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on pupil achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence.
  • Contribute to, share in and promote the wider and longer-term vision of OneSchool Global UK.
