Job summary

OneSchool Global in Bishopthorpe, England is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis. You will support students with special educational needs across the curriculum and be integral to planning and delivering engaging teaching.

Qualifications

  • Support learning and teaching across the curriculum, particularly for pupils with SEND.
  • Assist in planning, review and delivery of the curriculum for 1:1 or small groups.
  • Ensure SEND support is aligned with the Self-Directed Learning Philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers to support pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the safety, welfare, and emotional support of students.

Our York team is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them on a part time (0.6 FTE- 3 days per week), permanent basis.

About You
  • Support learning and teaching across the curriculum, particularly for pupils with SEND
  • To assist in planning, review and delivery of the curriculum (either as 1:1 or small groups) and to assist in pupil health, safety, welfare and emotional and behavioural support
  • To ensure that SEND support is happening within the context of the school's Self‑Directed Learning Philosophy
  • Have prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant or within a similar role
  • Have an understanding of special educational needs as defined in the SEN Code of Practice
  • Have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent knowledge, experience and skills (desirable)
