Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary schools in Nottingham and the surrounding areas. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you’ll support teachers and pupils across year groups, assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

DBS on the Update Service is preferred or you can obtain one; assignments range from day-to-day supply to longer

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable).
• A positive, caring, and adaptable attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting primary education.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

About the Role:

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils across a range of year groups. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning support.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when required.
• Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Assignments can vary from day-to-day supply to longer-term placements, offering flexibility and variety.
