Job summary

Robins Way School in Amesbury is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to support pupils aged 7–11 with SEMH needs. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help access learning, build communication skills and nurture confidence in a safe, inclusive environment.

Join a dedicated team and contribute to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing and inclusive education. This permanent, term-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with pay of £22,160.62 per annum.

  • Take responsibility for agreed areas of work, reviewed annually through performance management
  • Contribute positively to the school’s continued development and improvement journey
  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required

This is so much more than a support role. You’ll become a trusted mentor, positive role model and champion for pupils who need someone to believe in them, encourage them and celebrate every step forward.

Working closely with pupils who need personalised support, you’ll provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to help them access learning, develop communication skills, build resilience and grow in independence. Most importantly, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued, understood and able to succeed.

Our pupils may present with:

  • Speech and sound disorders
  • Delayed understanding of language
