Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Advisor for a centre-based role. You will support Tutors and Learners, deliver enrichment sessions, and help learners with additional needs build confidence and achieve goals.

Applicants should have Maths and English GCSEs at grade C or above, experience with SEND, and strong communication skills to engage diverse learners. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £26,200.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all learners effectively.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND / additional learning needs is essential.
• Knowledge of SEND code of Practice and supportive strategies for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Support Tutors and Learners by delivering enrichment sessions and educational activities.
• Provide one-to-one and group support to maintain engagement with course materials.
• Identify individual needs and help create, review and maintain effective support plans.
• Create a positive learning environment and encourage personal development.
• Help develop inspiring learning activities/resources for diverse learner needs.
• Monitor wellbeing, engagement and progress through regular reviews.
• Offer ongoing support addressing barriers to engagement and helping learners stay focused on goals.

Duties:

• Support and work closely with Tutors and Learners by helping deliver enrichment sessions and educational activities.
• Provide support to both individuals and groups of learners, to ensure learners maintain engagement with course materials and improve self-confidence.
• Identify individual needs and create, review and maintain effective support plans
• Create a positive learning environment, engage learners in meaningful experiences, and encourage their personal development.
• Assist in the development of inspiring and creative learning activities/resources which cater to diverse learner needs.
• Monitor learner wellbeing, engagement and progress through regular reviews
• Offer continuous support, through addressing any barriers to engagement and learning, and supporting your learners to remain focussed on their goals and aspirations, ensuring a positive environment is fostered for their own personal growth.

Essential Criteria:

• Maths and English (Grade C or above – or – equivalent such as Functional Skills)
• Experience supporting learners with SEND / additional learning needs
• Knowledge of SEND code of Practice, and effective strategies for supporting learners with additional learning needs
• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with all learners effectively.
