Job summary

TRURO & PENWITH COLLEGE is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Administrator to join the Learning Support and Inclusive Practice Team. This role supports learners, including those with SEND, by providing exceptional administrative help and data management.

The post requires strong IT abilities, accuracy and a proactive, discreet approach, working across Penwith or Truro campuses or both to ensure smooth student services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an administrative support role.
  • Strong IT skills with spreadsheets, databases and record-keeping systems.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • High level of accuracy, discretion and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for supporting learners.
  • Ability to work sensitively with students with additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for students, staff, parents and the public.
  • Manage enquiries via phone, email and in person.
  • Process and maintain confidential student records.
  • Support EHCP administration and review processes.
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, correspondence and team resources.
  • Maintain records and use college systems for data management.
  • Assist with ordering, invoices and general office administration.

Overview

Location: Penwith or Truro campus, or both. Salary: £24,454 per annum (£21,765 per annum). Working pattern: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

Truro and Penwith College is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Administrator to join our Learning Support and Inclusive Practice Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting learners, including those with SEND and EHCPs, while working within a friendly and professional team environment.

What Youll Do
  • Be the first point of contact for students, staff, parents/carers, external agencies, and members of the public.
  • Manage incoming enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Process and maintain confidential student records, including medical and learning support information.
  • Support EHCP administration and review processes.
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, correspondence, and team resources.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilise college systems for data management.
  • Assist with ordering, invoices, and general office administration.
