Job summary

Novus, part of the LTE Group, is recruiting a Learning and Skills Worker to deliver high‑quality learning support at HMP Doncaster. The role offers a permanent, full‑time contract (37 hours/week) with opportunities to develop towards teaching within prison education.

DBS requirements apply, and the post emphasises supporting learners to build confidence and essential skills. You will work with learners in a challenging yet rewarding environment, gaining experience while contributing to a growing

Qualifications

• Willingness to develop a Level 5 Certificate in Education.
• Willingness to develop a subject specialism in Maths or English.
• Aspiration to progress into a Maths or English Teacher role.
• At least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to a career in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support with the aspiration to develop within teaching.
• Cover teaching sessions and develop teaching skills.
• Produce accurate and timely reporting on learner progress.
• Support learners and groups with varying abilities.
