Job summary

Coventry College is recruiting an Additional Learning Support Coordinator for maternity cover to support learners with SEND and complex needs. You will manage caseloads, liaise with schools, CAMHS and local authorities, and lead EHCP reviews to ensure timely, effective support and documentation across the Learner Support Services team.

The role requires a Minimum Level 2 literacy/numeracy and Level 3 qualification, plus experience with ASD/ADHD and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent.
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining a caseload of young people and setting targets which address barriers to learning and support achievement.
• Working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, or other support needs.
• Experience of working with people with ASD or ADHD, communication difficulties, mental health difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of students with EHCPs and other support needs.
• Liaise with external agencies (schools, CAMHS, Local Authority) to coordinate support.
• Draw up individual support plans and attend external EHCP reviews.
• Lead EHCP college reviews with external agencies, parents/guardians and staff.
• Produce reports and statistical information for the Head of Learner Services.
