Job summary

Cheam High School is seeking a Learning Resources Manager and Literacy Co-Ordinator to lead the school library and support student assistants. The role requires strong people skills to work effectively with students and staff and to oversee library operations and training.

Hours are 8:30am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a pro‑rata salary based on 30 hours per week across 190 working days. A DBS check is required, and the school is an equal opportunities employer.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a library is not essential, but the ability to work well with students and staff is key.
• Strong organizational and budget management skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the LRC services for students and staff.
• Supervise, train and support student library assistants.
• Manage the LRC budget and library administration.
• Collaborate with the English Department and the LRC Assistant.
