Job summary

Academics are seeking two Learning Mentor/ Pastoral Support Assistants to join a secondary school in Lymington on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. The role focuses on supporting pupils at risk of exclusion and those through EHCP processes, with duties across core subjects and documentation for education plans.

Ideal candidates will be calm, nurturing and capable of building positive relationships with pupils.

Qualifications

• Must have a C/4 or above in Maths and English.
• Ability to document evidence and education plans for EHCP processes.
• Calm, nurturing approach with pupils and strong relationship skills.
• Experience supporting secondary pupils at risk of exclusion or through EHCP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in lessons, predominantly core subjects.
• Assist in documenting evidence and creating education plans for EHCPs.
• Contribute to online learning support as part of the individual's plan.
• Help pupils transition back to main classroom when appropriate.
