Job summary

Academics is seeking two empathetic Pastoral Support Assistants/Learning Mentors for a secondary school in Lymington. This full-time, temp-to-perm role runs 8:30am–4pm, in an Alternative Provision setting.

You will help pupils with core subjects, support EHCP processes, and document evidence for education plans, including online learning tasks. Affective traits are key: calm, nurturing and able to build positive relationships with pupils, especially those with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Temp-to-perm role in a secondary school in Lymington.
• Support pupils in Alternative Provision and EHCP processes.
• Requires Maths and English at Grade C/4 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with core subjects and learning plans.
• Document evidence and compile education plans online.
• Help transition pupils back to main classes.
