Job summary

Featherby Partnership Schools are seeking a caring Learning Mentor to support pupils who may face barriers to learning. You’ll work with teachers, families and external partners to provide mentoring and pastoral support that helps children feel valued and ready to learn.

You’ll build confidence, resilience and social-emotional skills, develop personalised support plans, and help pupils through key transitions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in school or pastoral/mentoring roles desirable.
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Featherby Partnership Schools are seeking a caring, motivated and committed Learning Mentor to join our dedicated team and make a lasting difference to children and families.

About The Role

You’ll support pupils who may face barriers to learning, helping them build confidence, resilience and the skills they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Working closely with teachers, families and external agencies, you’ll provide targeted mentoring and pastoral support, building trusted relationships and helping children feel valued, understood and ready to learn.

As a Learning Mentor, you will:

  • Provide individual and small-group mentoring and pastoral support
  • Help pupils overcome barriers affecting their learning and wellbeing
  • Develop and review personalised support to meet individual needs
  • Promote confidence, resilience, independence and positive attitudes to learning
  • Support pupils through key transitions and changes
  • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and external agencies

Experience in a school, pastoral, mentoring, youth work or family support environment would be desirable.
