Job summary

South Thames Colleges Group is seeking a Learning Mentor to support and mentor learners with health, disability or learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and complete their course. Experience with mentoring young people and strong communication skills are essential. A Level 2 English/Literacy and a Level 1 Maths are required.

This role emphasizes safeguarding, collaboration with staff, and providing tailored support to promote learner success in a college environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working successfully with young people in a supporting/mentoring role.
• Level 2 qualification in English/Literacy as a minimum.
• Level 1 qualification in Maths.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor learners with mental health or medical conditions, disabilities or learning difficulties to access the curriculum and complete their course.
• Help learners progress and achieve by providing tailored support and guidance.
