We are looking for Learning Mentors at our brand new Elm Fields campus which is a new development for our Ash Meadow School, Sutton Manor, St Helen's
The School is a non-associated Independent Specialist school based in Sutton Manor, St Helens. Our aim is to provide a child-centred and individualised education to students with Autism and other sensory processing disorders in a calm and safe environment.
Due to the expansion, an amazing opportunity has arisen. Bright Futures is seeking passionate and dynamic Learning Mentors join the team at Ash Meadow School. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students, supporting young people with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and complex needs.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint some highly motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Learning Mentors to work within our successful and hard-working team.
Reporting to the Headteacher[CD1] , the post holders will undertake all general day-to-day activities with pupils in the classroom to meet their individual needs. The role must ensure that our vulnerable pupils are securely safeguarded at all times and their well-being is promoted to the highest possible standard.
We are ideally looking for people who have a good understanding of Autism and sensory processing difficulties, who are highly professional in their manner and can build very effective relationships with children and adults in sometimes challenging and demanding environments.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team or individually to meet the specific needs of our pupils is a must. You will need to have the initiative and desire to undertake a range of specialised support activities concerned with the education of pupils and general duties to support the operation of the service. Comprehensive induction training will be provided.
Salary - £23, 873 p.a.
37.5 hrs per week - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm. There will be an occasional requirement to stay till 5pm on a Wednesday for internal training.
Annual leave will be taken during school closure periods.
