We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled level 3 learning mentor to join our pastoral team.
The successful candidate will be working with our pupils to provide support that enhances existing provision in order to facilitate learning, reduce barriers to learning, improve attendance and punctuality, improve attainment, educational outcomes and promote self-confidence and the emotional well-being of pupils, as well as contributing to school wide knowledge and skills in behaviour management. Previous and/or current experience of working with children in a pastoral capacity is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to provide support in addressing the needs of a case load of pupils who are demotivated or disengaged to overcome a range of barriers to learning. This support is likely to include working individually with pupils, working with pupils in small groups, working with other parties/agencies including parents.
Providing one to one support and some small group work will also be a key part of this role. You will be an outstanding and empathetic individual who is dedicated to ensuring all children achieve. You must be able to work well as part of a team and also as an individual and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

It is essential that all applicants have GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English; A-levels and degree preferable, but not essential. A high standard of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills are a must.
