Job summary

Connex Education is seeking compassionate Learning Facilitators to support children with SEND across Bristol. The role offers flexible day-to-day and long-term placements, with competitive daily pay (£100–£120) and weekly PAYE.

You will work with specialist schools and adapt approaches to meet diverse needs, helping pupils learn and develop in a supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have SEND experience, relevant TA qualifications, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Key Stages 1 to 3 with learning, development and wellbeing.

• Adapt approaches for autism, SEMH and other needs to help pupils succeed.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment and support during lessons and breaks.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals to optimise outcomes.

Salary: £100 - £120 per day (dependent on experience and assignment)

About the Role

As a Learning Facilitator, you will:

• Support pupils across Key Stages 1 to 3 with their learning, development and wellbeing.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, personalised learning activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour through consistent support.
• Adapt your approach to meet a variety of needs, including autism, SEMH, communication needs and moderate learning difficulties.
• Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed.
• Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes and enrichment activities where required.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals to provide the best possible outcomes for each child.

About You

We're looking for individuals who:

• Have experience supporting children or young people, particularly those with SEND, either in education, care or youth work settings.
• Are patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Can remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
• Are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
