Job Description:

Learning Experience Designer

Location: Manchester, UK (2 days onsite, 3 days WFH)

Duration: 12 months contract

To own and drive the digital design vision of the learning experience offering, with extensive thought leadership in the creation and curation delivery of impactful and innovative learning experiences to meet identified knowledge, skill, performance and behaviour gaps.

This role will manage all branding including the safeguarding of visual content quality and integrity, including working or consulting cross-departmentally with the other People Team COE’s and/or with external agency content, design and delivery teams.

This role will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships between internal teams, stakeholders and external vendors to drive the digital design of the global Learning & Development initiatives in line with the L&D strategy and wider business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, organize and maintain a centralized knowledge base for Talent Development digital content, including governance on quality, asset management and licenses as well as processes and templates. Ensure all solutions are built with the learner experience as a priority. Measure, scale, report on solutions, identify risks, and involve leadership as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to support business growth. Act as the point of contact for all L&D digital content, supporting new business challenges and removing friction where necessary.
  • Identify, drive, and lead continuous innovation strategies, experimentation, and creative capabilities, ensuring learning solutions follow design principles and market trends, delivering optimal learner experience and business value.
  • Research, design, and develop learning experiences, including content creation and curation for diverse abilities and learning styles.
  • Develop and review standards, processes, and tools to ensure experiences meet objectives, timelines, and measure impact, engagement, and adoption. Continuously improve learning experiences to remain innovative and meaningful.
  • Stay updated on new learning technologies and market developments. Benchmark internal technologies against these to maintain best practices.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership, creative thinking, and innovation, leading to the adoption of new technologies and processes based on evaluation for impact and benefits.
  • Manage the content and digital design of external vendor partnerships, including sourcing, negotiation, commissioning, and relationship management, with budget responsibilities.
  • Ensure all experiences are designed with a human-centered focus on the learner journey, partnering with internal teams and external vendors for best practices in tooling, testing, and engagement.
