Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker in Pyle to assist adults with learning disabilities in residential, supported living, or day services. You’ll help with daily tasks, promote independence, monitor wellbeing, and participate in activities to support personal goals.

Immediate starts and flexible shifts are available. Applicants should have at least 6 months social care experience, hold an Enhanced DBS on update service (or willing to pay for one), the right to work

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a social care setting.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willing to pay for one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to work above 24 hours per week.
• A driving licence is essential for community activities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and appointments.
• Promoting independence and development of life skills.
• Building positive relationships with service users, families and team members.
• Participating in activities like walks, games, music sessions, arts & crafts.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping individuals achieve personal goals.
• Ensuring safety and dignity of each resident.
• Observing, monitoring and recording residents’ conditions.
