Job summary

Marva Group is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker to help young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in the community. You will provide person-centred support, build independence and daily living skills, and collaborate with families and MDTs.

A UK driving licence is required and PMVA training is preferred; experience with de-escalation and care planning systems is essential.

Qualifications

• PMVA training and de-escalation techniques required.
• Experience using digital care planning systems for record keeping.
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People or Adults) is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing consistent, person-centred support to young people with learning disabilities and complex needs in homes and local community.
• Planning and facilitating engaging activities to build independence and social confidence.
• Supporting daily living skills including meal planning, shopping, dietary needs and personal routines.
• Applying PMVA techniques and de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
• Maintaining accurate digital care notes, risk assessments, and incident reports.
• Collaborating with families, carers, and MDTs to ensure positive outcomes.
