Job summary

Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust in Leeds is seeking a Registered Learning Disability Nurse to join the Children and Young People's Learning Disability Team. You will support and advocate for children/young people with a Learning Disability and their families.

You will work in a small, supportive multidisciplinary team and liaise with CYPMHS and external services to deliver person‑centred care and robust supervision.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
• Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and intervention for young people with a moderate to severe learning disability.
• Formulate, implement and monitor a Positive Behaviour Support plan with parents/carers and education.
• Collaborate with psychiatry, psychology, occupational therapy and speech and language teams within school settings.
