Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is seeking a Learning Disabilities Support Worker on a part-time basis (28 hours per week). The role involves delivering personalised plans and providing practical, emotional and social support to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

A full driving licence and own vehicle are essential to travel across Essex and to attend training. You will support individuals with daily living tasks, personal care and developing independence, with care values of empathy, respect

• Exceptional listening and communication skills.
• Empathetic approach to support needs.
• Willingness to provide personal care as required.
• Proactive, able to work on own initiative.

• Full, valid driving licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a personalised plan to support individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Provide practical, emotional and social support to help achieve outcomes.
• Support daily living tasks, personal care and eating/drinking.
• Promote independence and social inclusion, improving quality of life.
• Travel across Essex to attend training and work at other centres.
