Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker

Location: Weymouth, Dorset

Shifts: Monday - Sunday, 2:1 Days: 0800-2000, 2:1 Nights: 2000-0800 (including 1 waking night & 1 sleep-in)

Pay Rates (including holiday pay): Days £16.81 / Nights £18.91 / Weekends £21.01

Thornbury Community Services, an ‘Outstanding’ CQC-rated care provider, is recruiting learning disabilities support workers to utilize their skills and expertise to enable our clients to live safe and fulfilled lives, achieve personal goals, learn new hobbies, and participate in community trips.

We are seeking experienced UK-based learning disabilities support workers in Weymouth, Dorset, to work in the community with our clients.

Role requirements

We look for support workers with a minimum of 12 months UK-based experience who are passionate, resilient, and highly skilled. Key skills include:

  • Experience and confidence in performing physical interventions (restraints) within the last two years
  • Experience supporting clients with anxiety and depression
  • At least 12 months UK work experience in a relevant support worker role
