Stockport Homes Group (SHG) seeks an L&D Specialist to design and deliver learning that builds confidence, capability and performance across our teams, from frontline staff to emerging leaders. You will help ensure colleagues have the knowledge to meet regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality customer-focused services.
Reporting to the OD Manager, you’ll develop face-to-face, virtual and digital learning, support talent and leadership development, and contribute to early careers
This is a varied and practical role focused on designing and delivering learning that builds confidence, capability and performance across our teams, from frontline colleagues to emerging leaders. You will help ensure colleagues have the knowledge and skills they need to meet regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
If you're passionate about developing others, creating great learning experiences and making learning part of everyday working life, this could be your next opportunity.
As an L&D Specialist, reporting to the OD Manager, you'll work closely with fellow L&D colleagues, the wider People & OD team and managers across the Group to understand learning needs and turn organisational priorities into practical and engaging development solutions.
You'll design and deliver face-to-face, virtual and digital learning, support talent and leadership development, and contribute to early careers programmes including work experience, apprenticeships and graduate opportunities. You'll also help maintain training needs information, support mandatory and regulatory learning, manage and improve our Learning Management System, and use data and feedback to evaluate the impact of learning interventions.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping people develop and who brings experience across the full learning and development cycle, from identifying needs and designing learning through to delivery and evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in talent development, including early careers and leadership development, and will be organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
You'll also bring strong stakeholder management skills, a good understanding of adult learning principles and an awareness of current L&D practice.
The SHG "Be You" approach sums up our belief that everyone has the right to be who they are, and to be that person at work, in line with SHG's Values. We're always looking to improve diversity within our teams to enhance this culture and to be truly representative of the communities we work in.
We understand that if you don't meet every requirement, you may be hesitant to apply, but we still want to hear from you.
This role is on Stockport Homes terms and conditions.

All our profit is reinvested within the group to maximise opportunities for those who most need our help.
