Job summary

Social Work England is seeking a Learning and Development Officer to support people and managers across the business. You will be the first contact for day-to-day people matters and help deliver the people plan.

The role collaborates with the people officer and supports procurement, data reporting and system management. You will lead induction and learning initiatives, design workshops, analyse training data and ensure timely, accurate reporting to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• A CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards), or equivalent HR, or Learning and Development experience in a people-focused role.
• Experience gathering information and providing clear, practical learning and development advice.
• Experience of delivering learning and development programmes.
• Experience collating, analysing and interpreting learning and development data to support reporting and decision-making.
• Confidence in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; familiar with Teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead on development, delivery and review of induction process.
• Organise and implement programmes of learning with stakeholder input.
• Design, deliver and facilitate workshop materials as required.
• Design course evaluations and provide evaluation reporting.
• Source external training providers and assist with procurement.
• Oversee day-to-day people and development tasks and handle escalations.
• Produce monthly and quarterly data for reporting to senior leaders.
• Oversee people development systems and data accuracy (Enable and Grow).
• Coordinate induction process maintenance and improvements.
• Compile monthly/quarterly people data for reporting and identify patterns.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
• Represent the People and Development team professionally and solutions-focused.
