Job summary

Northern Education Trust is seeking an organised, proactive Cover Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our academy. You will oversee the coordination of staff cover, manage Cover Supervisors, liaise with supply agencies and ensure lessons continue with minimal disruption.

You will work closely with academy leaders and teaching staff to safeguard high-quality learning, supervise classes during short-term teacher absences and support the wellbeing and behaviour of students.

Qualifications

• Organised, proactive and enthusiastic Cover Manager.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily coordination of staff cover and manage Cover Supervisors.
• Liaise with supply agencies to source cover when needed.
• Ensure lessons continue with minimal disruption during short-term teacher absences.
• Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher and supervise whole classes.
• Work with academy leaders and teaching staff to support high-quality learning and student wellbeing.
