Job summary

Waterfield Primary School in England is seeking a Learning Coach SEND Support to help children with SEND feel safe, confident and ready to learn. The role is term-time only, 32.5 hours per week, 8:30 to 15:30, working with KS1 and SEND teams and outside agencies.

You will deliver small group teaching, scaffold tasks, support wellbeing and behaviour, liaise with families, and supervise lunch and break times.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children and pupils with additional needs.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Good understanding of how children learn.
• A Level 3 childcare qualification and a First Aid certificate are desirable.
• Patience, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small group teaching and scaffold/adapt tasks for individual pupils.
• Support wellbeing, behaviour and personal care needs.
• Work with families and carers.
• Help supervise lunch and break times.
