Job summary

Boldon School is seeking a Learning and Behaviour Mentor to support pupils on the ASPIRE programme. The role involves 1:1 support and small-group tutoring for pupils on an alternative curriculum, with a focus on managing behaviour in line with the school policy.

The post is permanent, 37 hours per week, term-time only, with an enhanced emphasis on safeguarding and welfare. The successful candidate will work to help pupils engage, overcome barriers, and achieve their potential within a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils on ASPIRE programme and restorative approaches.
• Ability to communicate with a range of audiences including pupils, parents and staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs.
• Deliver small‑group tutoring to pupils on an alternative curriculum.
• Support pupils in line with the school's Behaviour Policy.
• Help drive innovation by delivering tailored study programmes to remove learning barriers.
