Learning Behaviour Mentor

We are seeking a Learning Behaviour Mentor to join the KS3 team at an alternative provision school in Lambeth. This school employs a therapy-based approach to support students in learning and socialising effectively. The pupils have EHCPs facing SEMH, ASD, ACEs, and SEND difficulties. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives within a supportive community school.

The Learning Behaviour Mentor Job

This is a long-term, full-time position starting as soon as possible, supporting pupils across KS3 (years 7-9) for the remainder of the academic year.

The Skills Required

Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of young people's needs, with experience in supporting pupils on a 1:1 or classroom basis to enhance motivation and learning. The role involves helping students develop independence and reintegration into mainstream education.

Applicant Requirements
  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Experience in an alternative provision or secondary school environment
  • Patience, calmness, and engaging classroom manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Registered DBS or willingness to apply for one
