Job summary

Kingswood Primary Academy in Corby is seeking a Learning Assistant to support pupils across a range of activities and provide personalised learning plans in collaboration with teaching staff. The role focuses on fostering independence, supporting pupils with SEND, and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to safeguarding, contributing to our inclusive ethos and pupil success.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children with SEND.
• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• TA qualifications or experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Role model with high expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils’ learning across a range of activities, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Work closely with teachers to prepare engaging resources and deliver personalised learning plans.
• Foster independence and self-esteem in pupils, including those with special educational needs.
• Assist with classroom organisation and ensure a safe, stimulating learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families, contributing to an inclusive ethos.
• Support pupils during off-site visits and collaborate with external agencies when needed.
