Able Bridge Recruitment is partnering with a historic Scottish business to appoint a Learning and Development Manager in the west coast of Scotland. The role reports to the HR Director, is office-based at least three days per week, and leads the design and delivery of a world-class L&D framework across the organisation.
The successful candidate will drive competency-based development, manage L&D budgets, and oversee the LMS while growing the team to support strategic growth.

This vacancy, the result of a strategic focused will report into the director of HR and will be office based for at least 3 days per week. The role is currently a stand-alone role, however once this appointment has been made, the incumbent will be responsible for growing the team.
The purpose of this role is to design, implement and deliver a world-class learning and development framework that will be implemented across all areas of the business. Our client has identified that training and development models can be difficult to implement so have introduced a “licence to operate” and a “licence to manage”. As part of these licenses, employees will be mandated to complete this L&D modules.

We are seeking a highly experienced learning and development manager who has worked at a level where influence and strategic thinking have been a mainstay. This role will sit within the leadership team within the HR team and will require diligence and creative thinking, as such we are looking for applicants who can demonstrate these competencies. Our client will be looking for an individual who understands the importance of competency frameworks and who has proven experience in delivering them.
Our client does not hold a license to offer study support so will only consider applicants who are able to work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity.
