Job summary

The Government Commercial Agency in Liverpool is seeking a Learning & Development Co-ordinator to coordinate and promote learning and talent programmes, and to use Workday Learning to improve functionality and reporting.

You will manage apprenticeship and talent initiatives, coordinate content, attend to bookings, and deliver insights through management reports.

You will be a pivotal part of our Learning & Development (L&D) team, working across the GCA to co-ordinate, promote, effectively implement and evaluate Learning and Talent programmes with the aim of developing the people capability to deliver value to the nation.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the L&D Team. We support our colleagues to develop their knowledge, enhance skills and capabilities and ultimately drive both individual and organisational success. On a daily basis you will co-ordinate the delivery of learning and development activities, manage the day to day activities of our apprenticeship and talent programmes, be a key user of Workday Learning to improve functionality and user experience, add learning content and events and produce management reports and insight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as first point of contact for all learning queries, maintaining excellent communication with learners and deliver a high standard of customer service
  • Coordinate Learning & talent programmes, managing bookings and queries to ensure the respective booking, course logistics, content and learner attendance is accurately and effectively delivered.
  • Manage the promotion of the L&D offer, liaising with internal communications team and L&D Leads to market available learning and talent opportunities
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external training providers and ensure service levels are adhered to
  • Identify, design and continuously review and improve training administration processes and procedures
  • Day to day management of the Workday Learning and learning content and reporting
  • Support and coordinate specific Learning and Development initiatives where necessary, for example CIPS qualification programme
  • Provide support to the L&D Team with specific L&D projects and initiatives

GCA operates a smarter working model that balances flexibility with collaboration. Successful candidates are expected to spend at least 26 days per quarter (approximately 2 days per week, pro-rata) at their contracted office, another GCA site, or off-site for meetings. For the remainder of the time, you may work from home or another suitable location that meets business needs.
