Job summary

Coleg y Cymoedd, Ystrad Mynach campus, is seeking a Learner Services Assistant as sickness cover. You will provide frontline support to help learners overcome barriers, assist with transport, travel expenses, free meals and ID badges, and help learners feel included and able to focus on studies in a welcoming environment.

All staff must safeguard learners and complete pre-employment checks including DBS; EWC registration is required for roles interacting with learners.

Qualifications

• DBS check and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration may be required.
• Ability to provide frontline learner support and assist with logistics.

About the Role

We are looking for sickness cover to support learners at our Ystrad Mynach campus as a Learner Services Assistant. This role plays a key part in helping learners overcome everyday barriers, offering practical, front‑line support with transport, travel expenses, free meals and ID badges. You'll be a friendly, approachable presence on campus, helping learners feel supported, included and able to focus on their studies in a welcoming environment.
