Job summary

SLS Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and target-driven Learner Recruitment & Engagement Officer to join our busy education team. You will engage with prospective learners, provide high-quality guidance and ensure applicants are matched and enrolled onto the most appropriate training programmes.

In this role you will recruit, interview, onboard and enrol learners, deliver Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), complete eligibility and funding checks, track records and KPIs, and build

Qualifications

• Experience in learner recruitment, sales, customer engagement, recruitment or a similar target-driven environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people.
• Confident providing guidance and identifying individual needs.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy caseload.
• Comfortable working to KPIs and deadlines.
• Understanding of funding, eligibility and compliance requirements within education or training would be advantageous.
• A proactive, positive and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard and enrol learners onto appropriate training programmes, ensuring KPIs and targets are achieved.
• Provide effective Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to applicants, ensuring the right learner is matched to the right programme.
• Complete eligibility, funding and compliance checks and maintain accurate learner records.
• Follow up applicants promptly and refer candidates to alternative provision where appropriate.
• Manage maths and English initial assessments and diagnostics, monitoring completion.
• Develop positive relationships with referral partners and identify new learner recruitment opportunities.
• Attend careers fairs, recruitment events and other engagement activities.
