Job summary

swim@ is looking for a Learn to Swim Business Manager to lead a venue team, drive high-quality lessons, and ensure safe, engaging experiences for children and families. You’ll uphold our standards, motivate staff, and ensure excellent customer service across all touchpoints.

You will oversee daily operations, safeguard and data protection practices, and collaborate with regional colleagues to grow the program and maintain exceptional venues.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams in a customer-focused or leisure environment.
• Sales or business development experience in a customer-service setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in person.
• Strong organisation and planning abilities with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, equality, and data protection best practice.
• Willingness to travel regionally and stay overnight when required.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support your venue team to deliver high-quality lessons and service.
• Maintain exceptional operational standards across safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Carry out regular quality checks and feedback sessions with instructors and team members.
• Manage customer communications, including calls and follow-ups to leads/enquiries.
• Monitor venue performance, attendance, and customer feedback, taking action where needed.
• Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, equality, and data protection policies.
• Collaborate with swim@ and swim! centres across your region to share good practice.
• Attract new customers through hyperlocal community engagement and retain existing customers through high standards and service.
