Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council Ltd is seeking a qualified Swim Teacher to deliver Learn to Swim sessions across North Lanarkshire pools. You will teach groups and individuals, ensuring safety and progression through the Scottish Swimming framework.

Minimum SSTQ Level 1 or equivalent, PVG scheme membership, and strong communication are essential. Flexible hours and coverage across venues are required for this 15-hour-per-week role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Swim Teacher with SSTQ Level 1 or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of health & safety in leisure environments.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills; able to work with groups and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming lessons as part of Learn to Swim framework.
• Ensure safe and effective operation of the lesson programme.
• Cover local venues as needed and adapt to flexible hours.
