Job summary

Copello Global is partnering with a Defence Technology client to recruit a Continuous Improvement Engineer. The role drives Lean and CI across engineering and production, delivering high-quality solutions in demanding environments.

You will lead Lean initiatives, apply DMAIC, 8D and root cause analysis, coach teams in Lean Six Sigma, and collaborate with operations, engineering and supply chain to embed a CI culture.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer or equivalent practical experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Experience within electro-mechanical or electronics assembly and test environments.
• Ability to lead change initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
• Practical knowledge of MRP systems (IFS experience beneficial but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve flow, quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC, 8D, Root Cause Analysis and Practical Problem Solving.
• Work closely with operations, engineering and supply chain teams to deliver sustainable operational improvements.
• Support electronics and electro-mechanical assembly and test processes.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of non-conformances.
• Coaching teams in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and embedding a strong continuous improvement culture.
