Job summary

Bolt in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to boost production efficiency and reduce waste across multiple teams. You will lead CI projects from concept to implementation and develop standardized SOPs, leveraging Lean tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone and DMAIC.

The role requires hands-on experience with production teams, a Green Belt or equivalent CI qualification, and strong analytical and communication skills to influence stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing/engineering experience with CI projects.
• Hands-on with production teams.
• Lean/CI qualification, ideally Green Belt.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse workflows to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Lead Continuous Improvement projects from concept to implementation.
• Improve processes across functions (Commercial, Engineering, Production, Quality).
• Develop SOPs and manufacturing documentation.
• Apply Lean tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC).
• Use data and KPIs to measure improvements.
• Cross-functional embedding of improvements.
