Job summary

Rullion Ltd. seeks an experienced Production Planner to support manufacturing and operational delivery in a specialist engineering environment. You will develop, maintain and coordinate production schedules to meet time, cost and quality targets, working with cross-functional teams to optimise processes.

You will apply Lean Planning and Kanban methods, manage constraints, and drive continuous improvement across production activities while maintaining strong health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, manufacturing planning or production control.
• Knowledge of Master Production Scheduling and MRP systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, scheduling and resource coordination.
• Experience using Lean Planning and continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Master Production Schedule and supplementary schedules, ensuring forecast dates and production requirements are accurate.
• Develop detailed manufacturing plans in response to operational requirements, balancing time, cost and quality.
• Maintain accurate production data and schedules within local MRP systems.
• Apply Lean Planning and Production Control techniques, including Kanban and push/pull processes.
• Identify and resolve production constraints, delays and barriers to progress.
• Coordinate with operational delivery units and internal stakeholders to balance demands.
• Attend visual management meetings, monitor progress and complete actions.
• Support development and maintenance of cost estimates and planning documentation.
• Monitor, update and report on KPIs.
• Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build effective working relationships across teams to support programme delivery.
• Maintain high health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
