Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Production Manager for a specialist Engineering & Manufacturing business in SLAITHWAITE. You will lead multi-shift production, plan resources and ensure on-time delivery.

You will drive LEAN improvements, develop shop floor teams and ensure ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance. Benefits include 31 days holiday, a 10% bonus and funded development; hours 08:00–17:00, Monday to Friday. This role offers a stable career with a manufacturing leader.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Production Manager or similar leadership role in engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong track record of LEAN and continuous improvement with measurable results.
• Experience with LEAN tools: 5S, SMED, TPM, value stream mapping, root cause analysis.
• Experience leading multi-shift operations and using ERP/MRP systems for decisions.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, drawings, tolerances and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations across multiple shifts and ensure on-time-in-full delivery.
• Balance labour, machine capacity, and materials; remove bottlenecks and improve workflow.
• Champion continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives with measurable gains.
• Develop accountability and operational excellence via visual management and reviews.
• Lead and develop shop floor teams with training and performance management.
• Ensure quality standards and ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 compliance and corrective actions.
