Job summary

TT Electronics in the United Kingdom seeks a proactive Production Engineer to support development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes within our Power Electronics business.

You will work closely with Production, Planning, Quality and Engineering teams to optimise manufacturing performance, support New Product Introduction (NPI), drive Lean initiatives and implement new technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and optimising manufacturing processes to deliver stable, repeatable and efficient production.
• Proven track record of implementing Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement projects.
• Experience introducing new manufacturing technologies, equipment or processes.
• Understanding of manufacturing cost control and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Define manufacturing methods, assembly processes and packaging requirements for new and existing products.
• Support the safe and effective utilisation of people, equipment and materials to achieve daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
• Work closely with the Planning team to optimise production flow using the Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodology.
• Ensure component availability and manufacturing readiness to meet production schedules.
• Introduce new manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling to support business growth and customer requirements.
• Design and improve manufacturing layouts and production cells to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by providing manufacturing engineering expertise throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives in line with BE LEAN principles.
• Drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities, including cycle time reduction, tooling improvements and process optimisation.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce operating costs and enhance product quality.
