Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in the UK offers a 12.5 month internship in Single Aisle Structures at the Broughton site. You will gain hands-on experience leading projects, analysing data and applying lean methods to improve wing manufacturing processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration, integrity, and effective communication within a large production team. You must be an undergraduate for the entire placement, with basic knowledge of lean manufacturing, strong teamwork and a willingness to develop

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduates for the full duration of the placement.
• Studying towards a degree in Business or Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing methods.
• Experience working in teams and good communication skills.
• Familiar with G Suite (Google Slides/Sheets).
• Willingness to learn project management and support operations.

Responsibilities

• Support finance management including budgeting and forecasting.
• Participate in shop floor workshops to remove wastes and improve efficiency.
• Utilise Airbus processes and lead process-change projects.
• Assist operations using Click 'n' Buy to purchase materials and track stock.
• Support production systems and safety/environmental improvement initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders and deliver to customers under guidance.
• Develop and learn through cross-department exposure.
