Job summary

Team Jobs - Engineering is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop a high‑performing engineering function within a low‑to‑medium volume, high‑mix manufacturing setting. You will drive Lean initiatives, optimize labour productivity and oversee capital projects to improve overall performance.

The role demands strong CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks), a relevant engineering degree and proven leadership. A hands‑on approach and solid stakeholder management are essential for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership experience in a low-to-medium volume, high-mix environment.
• Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing experience and knowledge of work measurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the engineering team.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and CI across production.
• Improve productivity, labour utilisation, OEE, throughput and efficiency.
• Establish labour standards, time studies and work measurement processes.
• Develop capacity models and support planning.
• Optimize factory layouts, material flow and assembly processes.
• Lead line balancing, takt time analysis, value stream mapping and standard work.
• Support NPI and introduce new products to manufacture.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on DFMEA/PFMEA.
• Identify opportunities for automation and cost reduction.
• Develop business cases and lead capital investment projects.
• Manage multiple engineering projects through to delivery.
